Day four of filming "Home in Ireland". After a brief stop by the village of Gracehill, (featured in the album Gracehill Fair) we headed to Slemish Mountain, near Ballymena (in Irish called Slieve Mish). Legend tells of Saint Patrick, as a 16-year-old youth in captivity, tending sheep on the mountainside. He had been captured by pirates and sold to local Irish chief Milchu, who put him to work. He escaped to France, and returned to Ireland in 432 as a Christian missionary. Zip forward to today, a helicopter was to lift the Irish Rovers to the summit, but the big question was -- would George Millar beat his fear of choppers -- or would he climb the mighty Slemish while battling stomach flu!" - Celtic Connection Newspaper. A Behind The Scenes Video. Song: Let Him Go, Let Him Tarry - from The Irish Rovers CD, Gracehill Fair. See the rest of the series on youtube or on The Irish Rovers website www.theirishroversmusic.com
