Ahhh what can we say... AMAZING Wharepapa Rock or Castle Rock in the Waikato regions offers 180 climbing routes, with a mix of Trad, Sport and Top rope there is something for everyone. It does cost $10.00 which is to maintain the track and the climbs but it is well worth it. Plus you don't have to climb the rock to set up for top rope. It is all set up and good to go using pull cords 😁 less time wasted setting up and more time spent climbing!!! We had an absolute ball out here and wish we had something like this closer to home. And it was our first lead climb out on a natural rock wall so that deserves a pat on the back. Again we are not experts but we enjoy getting out there having a go and having a laugh whilst we enjoy our lives. Go get some lessons at your local climbing gym and see how far you will get.
