Hotel Review: Premier Inn Manchester City Centre Deansgate Locks, Manchester, England - September 2022:    • Hotel Review: Premier Inn Manchester Deans...   . I stayed at The Premier Inn Manchester Deansgate in September 2022. Two of us stayed for two nights on a room only basis, which cost £119, a decent price for Manchester City Centre, which is often expensive to stop in. The hotel is located just a 5 minute walk from Deansgate and Oxford Road railway stations, close to Deansgate Locks, but not actually on the Locks. The hotel has a car park available, which is pay and display. Reception staff were friendly and check-in was quick and efficient. Only one elvator was working, as a security measure the elevator needs a card to make it work. Our room on the first floor (127) faced over Medlock Street, which was the main road outside. Traffic was audible but it wasn't noisy as the sound insulation was reasonable. The bed wasn't up to the usual Premier inn Standard, it was slightly smaller than a typical Premier inn bed and it was also quite hard. This certainly wasn't the good night's sleep type of bed that Premier inn advertise. The room was decent and had all of the usual features, but it was in need of a little TLC and redecorating in places. The artwork on the wall had been vandalised, presumably by the previous occupants and had a tea bag sticking out of it. The bathroom was showing some signs of wear and tear, it was a shower over the bath arrangement with a curtain, it wasn't very accessible, with no grab rail. I wasn't hugely impressed with it, but if sufficed for a short stay. The hotel was VERY busy, there were a lot of people coming and going constantly, I think the wear and tear is a symptom of it being such a busy place. All in all, this was OK for a short two night budget stay in Manchester, but when I next visit the city, i'll probably explore other options.
