Why I Hate Playing In Bands!

But as mentioned, I do not want this channel to be strictly a "guitar lesson" channel only. I have much to offer millions of new musicians out there, and I sure wish I could have had this talk with my younger self 30 years ago! So as uncomfortable as it is, I feel an ethical obligation to give the goods so the viewers do not have to make my mistakes and can also learn and benefit from my mistakes and hard lessons. There may be some people out there who I have played with in the past who might not be overly happy watching this, but this is my perspective and very likely, the truth hurts. Playing in a band is very much like a relationship, and there are many warning signs to watch out for. Believe me no one dislikes drama more than I do. Just like the drama when a relationship ends (no matter which approach you take, being nice, being mean etc... it's the same when a band doesn't work out, although you might get lucky with very professional and understanding people. Will I ever play in a band again? Definitely if it's fun, challenging with the right people (which is what I would prefer to play in a band for now) but not likely. My standards are too high and my tolerance for BS is too low now at my age. Tell me what you think of the video, tell me your band experiences!
