In this episode I am going to review 3 typical aromatic white wines from key wine regions. The first one is a Mosel Riesling, this has medium+ intensity and I can smell the ripe stone fruits like a nectarine, white peach and orange. It contains high acidity and medium-dry sweetness, but it’s not ridiculously sweet. The acidity in it cuts through the weight from the sugar resulting in a wine that is light and delicate. Now, let’s move on to the other one, which is Alsatian Gewürztraminer. This one has a pronounced intensity and comes with a pale lemon color. The smoky notes can be easily noticed in the aroma of this wine. Also, I am getting some rose and jasmine, you can say it is something like a dried herbal tea. Other features are medium+ palate intensity and off dry sweetness. The finishing is bitter, but it is not overpowering. I would say, this one is interesting, although I was hoping it to show a touch more restraint on the palate. For the review of Condrieu Viognier, check out the video.
