Welcome to Episode 55 of Rover! Today I am at Gloucester on the Golden Valley Line and start of the Gloucester to Newport and Gloucester to Bristol Lines. Services are seen by Great Western Railway, CrossCountry and Arriva Trains Wales. Gloucester is a magnificent station, it has one of the countries longest platforms and has a great deal of variety. The station had an empty stock railtour set sat right in the middle of it but that made it quite interesting for those trains leaving from Platform 4. Essentially a lot of trains do reverse here which makes it useful to stand in one place as well. Not a lot wrong with this station, definitely recommended.
