Why Grey Arrows Drone Club grinds my gears

Like many other forums such as Facebook drone groups, GADC is populated with unhelpful members, excessive and rude moderators, Grammar Police and know-it-alls. Sadly, some of the comments I see on there are nothing short of bullying, by people who should know better and really need to act like adults instead of children in the playground. Now normally I do not feed the trolls as a rule, instead ignoring them until they slither back under their rock (or bridge) of choice, but last night I couldn’t hold myself back as this chap through his inane stupidity, inability to fully research the response he posted, and his bloated ego, tried to put me down. His response to my Mini2 + Goggles video was to post a video by Ken Heron from November 2020, in which Ken clearly states at 08:22 his thanks to me for providing the information to him in order for him to make that video. A fact evidently overlooked by Mr Hotrodspike in his rush to undermine my efforts. This, along with a repeat of the screenshotted chat comment from moderator PingSpike where I describe in a conversation with another chatter in the stream that GADC Admins [and mods] as “too anal for me” really took the biscuit and I just couldn’t let it lie. I wholeheartedly expect to be banned from Grey Arrows Drone Club after this video goes out, and to be frightfully honest I’m surprised it hasn’t happened already and I won’t be losing any sleep over it. If someone does post this on GADC, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the tiny minority of members on there who aren’t complete bellends and wish you well. For the others…. 🖕
