The setting of this OET-speaking roleplay is Hospital Emergency Department. The patient is anxious about his/her symptoms. And also irritated at having to wait to see a medical professional. The nurse starts the conversation by greeting the patient. And try to find out the reason for the visit. However, the agitated patient convey the reason for the visit. The nurse apologizes for the delay. The nurse collects more details about the symptoms (onset, frequency, etc.). On hearing the response, the nurse sympathizes with the patient and asks how well he/she is coping with the situation.
