PARTIMENTO: Fenaroli IV/28 (Gj1358)

This is my realisation of Fenaroli's dark, intense partimento 28 of Book 4 in F minor. Three /moti del basso/ stand out: the one that falls chromatically (appearing for the first time at the beginning of the partimento), which I realised with an ornamented 7-6 pattern the one that falls a fourth and rises a fifth (starting in bar 27), which I realised with the typical melodic-ornamental ascending fourth above each bass note, and treated imitatively/alternately between the upper voices the one that rises a second and falls a third (appearing for the first time from bar 63 on), which I provided with the typical suspensions (twice). As always, I do not hesitate to elaborate the bass to obtain a more coherent texture, that is, integrating the bass more into the contrapuntal setting.
