BABA NDIRI KURASIKA (Father, I Am Lost) is a traditional Anglican church Hymn 129 in Zimbabwean Shona version. Please note that English translation is available on the video “Kuda kwako ngakuitwe” — “Your will be done.” This powerful Shona Anglican hymn is a prayer of surrender, trust, and unwavering faith in the midst of life’s wilderness. It speaks for every believer who has walked through seasons of loss, uncertainty, grief, and spiritual dryness — yet still chooses to say, “Lord, Your will be done.” The song reflects the journey of a soul learning obedience, even when the road is difficult, lonely, or painful. Like Christ in Gethsemane, it teaches us to surrender completely to the Father’s perfect will. “Not my will, but Yours be done.” – Luke 22:42 When the path becomes hard and we are tempted to complain, this hymn reminds us to pray as our Savior prayed. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” – Proverbs 3:5–6 In times of grief, when we mourn loved ones who are no more, we are reminded that God remains sovereign and faithful. “The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” – Job 1:21 When everything is taken from us, we acknowledge that all we have belongs to Him. “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.” – Romans 11:36 Even in the wilderness, God walks with us. “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.” – Psalm 23:4 Ultimately, this hymn is a declaration of transformation — a prayer to become more like Christ. “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” – Matthew 6:10 May this song encourage you to surrender your fears, your grief, your plans, and your future into God’s loving hands. May it strengthen your faith to say, in every season: “Kuda kwako ngakuitwe — Your will be done.” 🙏 Be blessed. 🎵 Like, Share & Subscribe for more worship and gospel music. 📖 Let the Word of God dwell richly in you.
