Dipsy Divers are an incredibly effective tool for getting deep quick. For FishUSA Pro Staffer Nicholas Zart, Dipsy Divers are an exceptional tool for walleye fishing on Lake Erie thanks to their ability to be easily used in an efficient manner. In this video, Nicholas explains the features of a dipsy diver, highlighting everything you'll need to know to get out and fish with one. Nicholas runs his dipsies on FishUSA Flagship Trolling Rods, particularly the 8'3" Medium telescoping model. These rods are outfitted with 40lb braid. Braided line has no stretch, allowing the angler to easily "trip" the dipsy so that it can be reeled in with little resistance. This braided line is tied to a ball bearing snap swivel that is snapped to the dipsy diver. From the dipsy down to a #2 duolock snap is 8ft of 20lb Seaguar InvizX fluorcarbon. On the business end is a Michigan Stinger Scorpion Spoon in the color "Nascar", but Nick also frequently runs worm harnesses or shallow diving crankbaits behind a dipsy as well. We hope this video helps you to learn how to fish a dipsy diver!
