In 1982 Hasbro's Playskool division released The Glo Worm. Kids would give the worm a little squeeze and the vinyl head would light up. The first worm was such a big success that hasbro followed it up with a new version that played music. Books, night lights and tv shows were all inspired by the Glo Worm.
