Meet Sunshine Coast Council's new waste collection vehicles! TRUCK COLOURS: Light-green – electric truck emptying public place bins Green – garden organics Yellow – recycling Red – general waste Teal – a general truck used for commercial waste, public place bins, and to help out with household waste and garden waste collection if needed. NEW CONTRACTOR: JJ’s Waste & Recycling has taken over the region’s waste collection services for the next eight years, as part of a new contract with council. The new look trucks were manufactured by JJ’s in-house engineering division. The vehicles meet emissions standards known as Euro 6 which is applied by the European Union to minimise fuel use and harmful exhaust emissions. This standard is above the current requirements for Australian diesel vehicles which means a cleaner, quieter service for the Sunshine Coast.
