Primary bladder neck obstruction (PBNO) || Bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) || Bilateral Grade 2 Hydro nephrosis Right kidney: Normal in size, regular in shape with smooth outline. Bipolar length 11.02 cm Cortex & medulla are well differentiated. Central echo-complex is echogenic and normal. Left Kidney: Normal in size, regular in shape with smooth outline. Bipolar length 10.14 cm Central echo-complex is echogenic and normal. Bilateral dilated proximal ureter with renal sinuses measuring right side 2.81cm and in the left side 2.6cm. Ureter: No abnormality could be detected in either of the ureter. Urinary Bladder: Well filled with smooth outline. Wall thickness is within normal limit. No intravesical lesion or calculus is detected. Pre void volume of urine is about609ml. Post void residue is about 219ml. Prostate: Normal in size. It shows homogenous echotexture with smooth and intact capsule. It measures – Volume: 22.9 ml. Seminal vesicle: Normal in appearance. COMMENT: Bilateral Grade 2 Hydronephrosis with significant PVR( 219ml) Complains of long time voiding Diagnosed by urologist PBNO and BOO Primary bladder neck obstruction (PBNO) is a urological condition affecting both sex in which the bladder neck fails to open adequately during voiding, resulting in obstruction of urinary flow in the absence of anatomic obstruction, such as benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) in men or genitourinary prolapse in women. Bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) is a blockage at the base of the bladder. It reduces or stops the flow of urine into the urethra.
