Sony's mid-cycle high performance console is here, the PlayStation 5 Pro. And with it brings a proprietary AI upscaler called PSSR for 4K image qualities while sustaining high frame rate modes. There's also Game Boost for the existing PS5 back-catalogue, and a PS4 Image Enhancer setting. Is this expensive, performant console really worth what Sony is asking? Even with the disc drive and vertical stand? What has the experience really been like? And is the value there? I can only give my honest answer, so that's what we're finally doing today. I'm also renewing my health insurance today too, and my premium wasn't that far off from a PS5 Pro. So it begs the question.. higher frames? Or living?
