They don’t really have a name for this recolor, so I named it “Violet Wings”. Skywarp is my favorite seeker because purple and black is such a bitchin’ color scheme. This is a great figure but it is damned fiddly. There are several steps that if you don’t do them at the right time you will have to rewind and try again. Fantastic they managed to get a waist swivel which is certainly more than you can say for the Takara MP-52. It’s also a bit taller than MP-52 which I think makes it fit better with the collection, Sunbow’s scale standards be damned. Guess now I’ll have to wait for someone else to do another design so I can pick that one up Thundercracker-flavored. Support Note: Like what you see? Send me a tip! https://paypal.me/peolesdru Jet to Robot: 0:09 Robot to Jet: 1:44 Speed run to Robot: 3:19 Speed run to Jet: 3:47 2x Run: 4:15 End credits: 4:43 Production Note: The main challenge was working out a clean (enough) sequence. One tricky part was figuring out how to “stand’ the jet so I could cover the opening of the chest bits immediately followed by folding the whole thing 90 degrees to extract the arms. Viewing Note: If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.
