Monette MB-111 - Demonstrated by Charlie Porter

Part of a series of videos demonstrating different models of Monette Instruments. In this series, Charlie Porter plays the same excerpts on a variety of Monette instruments. Some excerpts are included twice: once with the audio from a close-up microphone (close mic) and again with a microphone further away from the player (room mic). This is done so that the difference can be heard between what the instrument sounds like up close and what it sounds like from a distance. ___ The new MB-111 is an updated version of our Chicago-era trumpets from the mid-1980s. It is an excellent horn for all around playing, and works great in sections with people who are playing non-Monette instruments. Like all Monette instruments, the MB-111 feels very even in all registers, responds extremely fast, and has superior intonation and projection.
