Miranjani Trekking : A Journey to the Highest Peak in the Galyat Region

In last vlog, we returned to our hometown, Kalabagh, and captured a stunning star lapse at night. This time, we're embarking on a new adventure, leaving Kalabagh to head towards Nathiagali for a delicious breakfast at Afaq Hotel. Join us as we indulge in Channa, Parathas, eggs, and tea while taking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. After breakfast, we park our cars in Nathiagali and hop into a local van that brings back memories of our school days. We set off towards the Miranjani start point, located about 20 minutes from Nathiagali. The van ride, which cost 1500 Rupees, is both nostalgic and scenic. The Miranjani trek is approximately 6 km from Nathiagali, and it's the highest peak in the Galyat Region, standing at an impressive 2,992 meters (9,816 ft) above sea level. The trail is mostly soft dirt with some small rocks, making it manageable for both beginners and experienced trekkers. We start our journey at 11 AM, and as we hike through the forested path, we share tips and precautions to ensure a safe trekking experience. When we reach the top of Miranjani, we fly the drone to capture stunning aerial views and set up a time-lapse to showcase the beauty of cloud formations. From the peak, you can see Nathiagali, Mushkpuri Peak, and Azad Kashmir. On a clear day, you might even spot Nanga Parbat, the ninth-highest mountain in the world, shining in the distance. After reaching the peak, the weather changes, and heavy rain starts to pour. We pull out our jackets to keep warm and decide to head back down. By 4 PM, we return to Nathiagali, just as the rain intensifies. We enjoy a hearty lunch with Kabli Palau, Biryani, Tikka, and Malai Boti, accompanied by the picturesque views of the surrounding area. If you're planning a trip to Miranjani, be sure to bring rain gear and a jacket for sudden weather changes. This trek is a fantastic day hike, offering a mix of adventure, scenic views, and the joy of exploring nature.
