(Oct 1, 2014) This is the third time in 8 days where routenote has falsely claimed copyrights to my songs. I explained to them clearly their error the first two times but they don't seem to want to stop. So the game is on and now the fun begins. See below for an explanation of what's been happening with my songs. Routenote received 2 personal notes explaining fully but they don't seem to be able to understand. They can't say I didn't warn them but they probably can say they didn't read that warning. But that's not my fault. I did try. Anyway the actual date that this song was uploaded to youtube and thereby copyrighted was Feb 7, 2012. I mention that because when I change this video from private to public the date will change to today’s date. (I have a screen shot to back this up.) The song that routenote is claiming that I infringed on is from August 27, 2014. So my song was copyrighted 2.5 years before the routenote song. This same thing has happened 3 times in the last week and they don’t seem to want to stop. So the fun begins. The change of title to this song is the first step. Then I’ll be visiting their song and playfully exposing their actions with documented facts about their use of sound loops owned by others and their claiming copyrights on those sound loops. In other words, falsely and repeatedly claiming ownership of other people's property. The actual song title is: “Waiting for the Missiles - The fools actually did it (Original song)” Original Composition by Norman Lowell, © Norman Lowell I'm currently receiving a rash of false copyright infringement notices from youtube on many of my songs. It's getting ridiculous so rather than send out individual challenges to all false copyright claims I thought I'd write the following: To those music distributors who I'm sure will be attempting to claim copyrights to this video; (This is a form letter.): Most of my songs make use of commercially available sound loops that I have bought the rights to use. Everything in this video either consists of the above mentioned sound loops or my original created sounds. There is nothing in here that belongs to you. Here's the fun part: Anyone attempting to place a link to their song on this video after fraudulently claiming copyrights to this song will be happily visited by me at that link and legally trolled on the comment section of that link. In other words, I will expose you in the comment section of that link as claiming copyrights to a specific commercially available sound loop that you do not own and legally belongs to someone else. So please, for the benefit of the artist that you are representing, don't place a link from my video to the artist's song after falsely claiming copyrights to any part of this song. I have visited those who have tried to do the same in the past with my other original songs and I receive great joy in doing it again at every opportunity. Since I quit smoking it's the only pleasure I have in life besides for large quantities of rum. (Rum and trolling are my main endeavors, so be warned; I'm very good at both.) Furthermore: Those thinking that I am only one powerless unknown person and will not bother to fight your false copyright claim should know that the multinational provider of the sound loops that I have mentioned has expressed in their EULA a willingness to litigate your ass into oblivion if you attempt to steal rights to their copyrighted sound loops. So now that you know where you stand do you really want to press that button continuing your fraudulent claim to my legal use of copyrighted sound loops from a multinational company that obviously happened to have been used in both your song and my song... especially when in some cases my song video was created and uploaded to youtube months or years before your song was copyrighted. Thank you very much for releasing my music from your erroneous copyright claim. If you insist on continuing, I will not contact you... I will contact the multinational provider of the copyrighted sound loops that you are now knowingly fraudulently laying claim to. Have fun fighting them. PS: Have a nice day :)
