One step forward, two snaps back. 🛠️ In this episode of the custom cold air intake build, we are tackling the "heart" of the system. I needed a way to keep the intake valve locked in either the "Cold Air" or "Closed/Dry" position without it fluttering. My solution? A custom over-the-center spring mechanism like an old school muscle car clutch uses to make pedal feel easier. It works perfectly on the bench, but as soon as I tried to bring control into the cockpit, things went sideways. Between snapping two different control cables and my garage heater deciding to give up the ghost in the middle of the shoot, this was one of those days where the car definitely won.
