Saturday night in Plymouth is always an eye-opener. We headed out to document the "weekend energy" across Union Street and the Barbican, and it didn't disappoint. First, we spent some time with the local homeless community. We met Hugo and a few other lads who are doing it tough. We were able to help out with a bit of cash and a hot KFC meal for the guys on Union Street—it’s important to remember the people who are often invisible when the clubs are full. As for the nightlife, the usual Saturday night revellers were out in full force! We followed the Devon & Cornwall Police as they patrolled the Barbican and dealt with various incidents. To be fair to the officers, they were in top form tonight—dealing with drunk and disorderly situations with a lot of patience and a good manner.
