(2005) follows Santiago Muñez, an undocumented Mexican immigrant in LA who gets scouted and rises to fame playing for Newcastle United. It’s cheesy, dramatic, and rox. Goal II: Living the Dream (2007) sees Santi move to Real Madrid, where the budget explodes and logic disappears. Cameos galore, questionable decisions, and the start of a creative nosedive. Goal III: Taking on the World (2009) … barely features Santiago at all. It becomes a straight-to-DVD fever dream about two random English lads playing in the 2006 World Cup. It sux. In this video, I watch and review all three, then attempt the impossible: Rewrite Goal III to actually give this trilogy the ending it deserved. Sub to the chan. Thanks heaps.
