Literacy and art lesson idea. Boost expressive language and vocabulary with tin foil sculptures! This is a great way to support your class with their literacy using art. In this tutorial you will learn how to create expressive figurative sculptures using just a single sheet of tin foil (aluminium foil). This technique is quick, cheap and can be done will lots of different age groups. Your class will be able to bend and manipulate their sculpture to explore body language and emotions which they can then describe, write about or use do develop oracy skills. This is perfect for both literacy, PHSE or any topic that involves the human form (Greeks, Romans, Fitness....) and is a good example of cross curricular teaching and learning.
