“If morning will rise, then I will get there.” Five months ago, I was finding it hard to claw my way out of a dark place, and I wrote a song around that line. In light of many recent events, I’ve come back to it, because I’ve seen that pull between uncertainty and resolve move beyond just me. As an artist and a person, I can’t tell anyone how they feel or should feel. All I can do is share with you how I feel, in the most expressive way I have, and hope I reach through the dark to you.
