Borderlands 2: Patched Trespasser- Does it still suck!?

The Trespasser is a unique Jakobs sniper that is available as a reward for completing the 'Animal Rights' quest in the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve. The quest is given by Mordecai in Sanctuary, after the story mission involving Bloodwing. This weapon has the special bonus of ignoring shields. It is especially valuable for two raid bosses- Pyrocaustic Pete and Voracidous the Invincibles. This effect is an allusion to one of Mordecai's skills in the original Borderlands. The community patch adds a bit of fire rate, and massively increases the damage. There still aren't many enemies where the special effect makes this weapon worth using over other Jakobs weapons, but it definitely no longer sucks. It is a viable weapon at OP 8 with the community patch, even if it is lacking compared to other high tier Jakobs snipers.
