Easy Shift Cable Replacement for John Deer XUV Series (XUV550, XUV560), S4 and 2-seater

This video shows you how to EASILY swap out the dreaded shift cable in a John Deer XUV550 - XUV560 (and probably others). Instead of removing nearly all the body panels and floor pan, I show you how to route the cable in an equally safe manner in 30-60 minutes. I replace the "top" shift cable in this video, but the bottom will be the same process (just not quite as easy to see). The right "shifter" (for 2WD/4WD selection) cables would be similar as well. Be VERY careful ordering a new cable. Nearly all the cables compatible with the shorter 2-seat version of the XUV series are listed as also being compatible with the S4, longer 4-seat version. Of course, the cables won't work, and will be too short. Make sure that the cable(s) you order are listed as fitting the S4 4-seat version ONLY, and that they list the correct length (146.5"). Of course, this is an issue only if your XUV is an S4 4-seater. I hope this video helps you, and saves you a boatload of time.
