The house "Les Avets" is a large "maison de campagne", renovated in 2010 by one of France´s best architects. It is quietly located 700 m from the center. The lodge and the the apartment on the first floor are for rent. The Danish owner inhabits the remaining approx. 500 m2. The lodge is 40 m2. There are kitchen, dining table for 4 people, double bed and sofa and bathroom with shower. The porter´s lodge includes a small south-west facing garden with a large patio and a shed for garden furniture. The apartment on 1st floor is 75 m2. There are a large family kitchen, 2 bedrooms with 2 good beds, bathroom and large south-facing room with views to the mountains with a large west facing balcony. There is a large enclosed garden for free use. Nyons with its 6.800 inhabitants is one af the main towns in the area, beautifully situated in the heart of the Drôme Provencale, surrounded by lavender fields, olive groves and vineyards - is known for its mild climate with 300 sunny days a year. The town lies at 270 meters altitude, southfacing between 2 mountain ranges, well protected from the mistral, which blows through the Rhône Valley. Nyons is situated on the river Eygues surrounded by lavender fields, olive groves and vineyards, close to Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas. Nyons is known for its wrinkled black olives, which are among the best. There are excellent opportunities for relaxation in gorgeous surroundings and / or an exciting activity holiday with golf, hiking, biking, climbing and paragliding. In the midst of Nyons is a 1200 m2 swimming pool complex. In Nyon, there are beautiful places: Place de la Libération with sycamore trees everywhere and the Place du Dr. Bourdongle, which is framed by arcades, filled with shops.
