The Sony VGN-UX180P was a UMPC, or Ultra Mobile Portable Computer released in 2006. It featured as many ports and features as the best workstation laptops for the next 20 years. It was so far ahead of its time, it failed miserably. The software (Windows XP) wasn't designed for handheld devices, and the hardware, besides the HDD, couldn't be upgraded. So unfortunately this marvel of engineering flopped and now only exists as an example of what happens when hardware outpaces software. I love the early Sony devices, as the engineering involved in their design and function was so advanced and unique, every company should've taken notes.
