The head unit heats up, especially in direct sunlight and the minimal solder point on the circuit board develops a crack. Remelting the solder reconnects the antennae to the circuit board. Update 9/3/16, this solution lasted about 4 weeks and I had to do it again and then a third time. I ended up ordering an Onyx plus from Amazon, which a superior unit and should have done it sooner. I transferred the subscription online and the activation fee was only $15.
