You need to check this out (Ratnaya Palata) The first and only museum of the First World War in the country. Built in 1913 - 1917 according to the design of Semyon Sidorchuk. Pskov-Novgorod buildings of the 14th -16th centuries served as models for the construction of the Ratnaya Chamber. Initially, it was planned to locate a museum of the history of Russian troops in the War Chamber. But with the beginning of the First World War, it was decided to create a museum of the current war in the War Chamber. In 1918 the museum was abolished. The exhibits of the Military Chamber were partially transferred to other museums, stolen or destroyed. Since 1923 there was an office and a club here. In 1932, the building was already converted into housing for students and workers. It was badly damaged during the Great Patriotic War. After the war, part of the premises was used as storage space and housing. In the 1970s The building of the Military Chamber was transferred to restoration workshops. In 2011-2014 The building of the Military Chamber was restored. The museum was reopened to mark the 100th anniversary of the start of the Great War. (Arsenal Pavilion) Arsenal is a park pavilion, built in 1819-1834 according to the design and under the supervision of architects Adam Menelas and Alexander Ton, one of the first Russian museums. The Gothic-style structure is topped with crenellated towers. Initially, the pavilion was used to store and display a collection of medieval, European and oriental weapons. The collection, numbering more than five thousand items, was repeatedly replenished with products from famous craftsmen and the best European weapons workshops. However, in 1885, the grandson of Nicholas I, Emperor Alexander 3, transferred the collection to the Hermitage. In the Arsenal, unused porcelain and glassware were left, as well as a collection of small equestrian models of officers and lower ranks, demonstrating examples of uniforms of Russian regiments from the time of Nicholas I. During the course of historical vicissitudes, a significant part of the collection was lost. The arsenal was significantly damaged during the hostilities. A full-scale reconstruction was carried out only in 2011 - 2016. In the restored pavilion, a permanent exhibition “Tsarskoye Selo Arsenal. Imperial collection of weapons” was opened. The museum displays memorial items of Russian emperors and part of the collection of weapons preserved in the funds. (Shapel) Chapelle - in French Chapelle was built by A. Menelas in 1825 - 1828 to install a marble statue of Jesus Christ, made by the famous German sculptor Dannecker. Fortunately, the white marble statue has been preserved and is located in the Hermitage. Perhaps after the restoration completed last year, Maria Feodorovna’s gift to Emperor Alexander the First will return to its historical place (Kitayskaya Derevnya) The village was a group of houses built for the noble guests and courts of Catherine II who came to the court. Rinaldi and Cameron worked on the consciousness of the picturesque complex in 1782 - 1786. During the work, deviations from the project were made, plus its appearance was greatly changed by its reconstruction in the 19th century. At the entrance to the street there should have been a gate, and behind the village there should have been an eight-tiered pagoda tower, which served as an observation tower. The complex was never completed, and much was subsequently lost. Initially, the walls of the houses were lined with Krasnosel faience tiles, but they were cracked by frost, and then the building was plastered and painted according to Chinese motifs. The roofs of the houses were curved “in Chinese” and decorated with images of dragons. After the war, the Chinese village lay in ruins for many years. The Danish company TK Development Pushkin, at its own expense, completely restored the Chinese Village in exchange for the right to lease it for 49 years and the right to use it as a hotel complex. (Creaking Summer-House) Yuri Felten tried his best here too, creating in 1786 an exotic pavilion with a Chinese roof, a tower and a weather vane in the form of a Chinese banner. When rotating in the wind, the weather vane makes a loud creaking sound. Hence the name of the gazebo - “Squeaky”. Against the backdrop of a pond, the place is very picturesque, long noticed by couples in love.
