** download in the comments section ** F-1 Race was wayyy unfinished when they released it. You could only play 5 tracks at any difficulty, and the race never ended on the fifth track; thus you could never play Circuit 1 on Skill Level 3, or Circuit 10 on Skill Level 1. SO, this thing is a hack I've been working on to "fix" F-1 Race. What this hack does is enables the game to play through ALL 10 circuits of the game, and advancing the skill level every time the 10th circuit is completed. So, starting on skill level 1, Circuit 11 would actually be Circuit 1, but at skill level 2. And the circuit number displays correctly (Instead of "Circuit No.A" you get "Circuit No.10"). _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ I also added a TURBO button (hold select while accelerating) that gives the car a small speed boost. This makes it easier to get the car over 416 Km/h and enable the turbo mode, a bug that makes the car go faster and skid less (This is possible in normal gameplay, but only on the 1st circuit, and maybe the 5th too). You'll notice I used the turbo button slightly on Circuit No.2 , and used it again only a couple times throughout the video, most significantly at 19:21 (Circuit No.11) to demonstrate the 416 Km/h bug. I could've fixed the 416 km/h bug, but it's FUN to play and you can never accidentally run into it unless you deliberately use the turbo button, and beyond its limit; so there's no real need to fix it (A simple fix would be capping the speed to 415 Km/h which is really simple to do). _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ So, features: Play through all circuits, endless gameplay, no crashes. All 3 skill levels start on Circuit 1. Added 5/7 seconds to all times to make it easier. Might reduce. SELECT is now an (unlimited) turbo button. Useful for fast starts. Skill level increases every time the 10th circuit is completed. Removed the nintendu sign because that's a common thing in these kind of rom hacks lol (Fixed on version 17/4) Alternate color palettes are now much more frequent. Now there's 1/8 chance for all palettes (except the normal one that has 3/8 now, but still, 3/8 is less than 119/128) (Fixed on version 17/4) Scores are now saved according to the initial skill level, and not the final skill level (as it happened in version 16/4). Bugs: The 416 Km/h bug is still present. Probably not gonna fix it.
