Desmos Calculator: https://www.desmos.com/practice - Choose College Board Khan Academy Digital SAT Prep: https://www.khanacademy.org/test-prep... In this video, Doc Chelle welcomes students to the Dr. Test Prep YouTube channel and lays a path for which videos to watch first. Buy the companion book on Amazon to follow along with the questions: https://amzn.to/48lCtjq How to Increase Your Score on the Digital PSAT/SAT Math Section Using the Desmos Calculator and the @DrTestPrep YouTube Channel fill the gap between College Board's Bluebook app, Khan Academy's Official SAT Prep program, and Schoolhouse.world's peer tutoring. Most students do not need expensive tutoring or classes to increase math scores on the PSAT/SAT. By utilizing the best features of the four programs, teens can create a personalized PSAT/SAT study plan that will build confidence, fit their schedules, raise test scores, and help them achieve their dreams. What does College Board's Bluebook App do well? Adaptive PSAT/SAT practices tests with explanations on student missed questions What does Bluebook lack? Content instruction What does Khan Academy do well? Creates a personalized instructional program based on College Board/Bluebook data What does Khan Academy lack? Videos (as of 2024) that teach learners how to use the Desmos calculator on most questions What does Schoolhouse.world do well? Offer free peer tutoring to students What does Schoolhouse lack? Freedom to study on the learner's schedule How does Dr. Test Prep/Dr. Michelle Ihrig fill the gap? Offering 450 new, fully aligned questions with a solid focus on the Desmos calculator. This book does not provide explanations to questions... instead, it includes the blank questions that Dr. Ihrig uses for the Dr. Test Prep YouTube videos (@DrTestPrep). Who can benefit from this resource? The 90% of students who scored less than 690 on the PSAT/SAT or practice test. For anyone who scored over 690, this book is still valuable to you; however, the first edition does not cover the Advanced-level questions. You might be better off focusing your time on Khan Academy. If I finish this book, will I make a million dollars or raise my score by 300 points? Um, no. Sorry. Students who followed my previous free programs raised their scores 70 points, on average, each time they took the test. Some students raised their math scores by 120+ after one test, but it takes dedication. If you have six months to prepare, then a big jump into the high 600s is possible (remember - I don't include content, yet, for scores over 690). Who is Desmos and the PSAT/SAT program designed for? Students who scored less than 690 on the Math Section Learners who don't have access to expensive tutors – and most students can do exceptionally well without tutors -Teens who struggle in school, especially math -Students who hate, hate, hate taking tests -Students who are busy with other activities -Teens who are young parents or family caregivers
