In the Mortal Kombat lore, he is mostly known as a not so serious and more careless fighter, but is aware of the danger ahead. Cage has three special moves in the game. His Green Bolt is his projectile, being able to throw it relatively fast. He also has his shadow kick, which consists of sliding toward his opponent and kick them in the process. Shadows follow him along way to show that he is using his energy power. His last special move is his ball breaker move, which doesn’t work against Sonya, but also doesn’t work against himself. Although a simple oversight, this has brought some ridicule to the character. Cage’s fatality is censored in this version. His censored fatality involves impaling his opponent with his foot, and is executed with the same button input than the arcade original. Cage is strong against the CPU. His move is fast, and his air move has priority over most moves. His projectile is also fast as well as his uppercut. His downside is his Shadow Kick, which can be easily countered, as well as the reach of his move while on the ground.
