The Seiko SSK GMT Proves That A CALLER GMT Can Better Than A "TRUE" GMT (Defining All The GMT Terms)

So as a diehard fan of GMT watches and of the Seiko SKX I knew I had to get the SSK001 GMT. The main “issue” that people have with more affordable GMT movements from the likes of ETA, Sellita, and now Seiko, is that they “aren’t real GMTs” like their more expensive counterparts from the like of Rolex, Tudor, Omega, Grand Seiko, and more. So in this video I’m going to define the different terms that surround the “real vs not real” GMT debate, and then I’ll go over my experiences with the SSK GMT now that I’ve owned it for over 6 months. Finally, I’ll see for myself if it is possible to actually travel with this supposed “not real” GMT movement. Spoiler alert: it is entirely possible.
