A few weeks ago, I tried telling her the story of FFIV for the first time. The following conversation ensued: Me: Once upon a time there was a knight named Cecil, who wielded the power of darkness. He- Niece: Umm, excuse me. Why is he the main character? When I later introduced Rydia, she was even more confused as to why Cecil was the main character.
