Have you heard about the song that says THANK YOU to doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals and lets them know how much their work means to all of us? This pandemic anthem has an amazing story behind it. During the early days of Covid when most schools and all venues were shut down, DARIA began giving free Zoom songwriting workshops with classes of kids around the world. Her goal was to help them have fun with music and to take their mind off of pandemic fears and anxiety. Despite that, one group of kids in Australia were determined to write a song about doctors and nurses. They had just immigrated to Australia and during their journey, they felt that the doctors and nurses they met had literally saved their lives and "brought them out of darkness and into the light". DARIA created a song with this class and then got their permission to develop the song into her next single. The goal of the song was to send a musical tribute to all those in healthcare that have been bravely battling Covid and keeping us all safe and healthy. DARIA developed an array of great materials and classroom resources that can be used to thank a healthcare worker in your life.
