Hello Viewers, I'm Rashmi Malapur Jaswal. Welcome to the webinar on Therapy and it's myths. We often shun or resist going to a therapist for various reasons. Today we have an eminent speaker- Dhruv Raj Sharma with us to discuss this topic. - Therapy and the myths associated with it. Dhruv Raj Sharma is the founder of Logophilia Education. Website: https://logophilia.in/ Logophilia Education (estd. 2010) is the first and only Etymology Education organisation in the world. They educate students and teachers through Etymology Education to help them understand, rather than memorise, the English Language. They assert that the most important subject for making students competent is, not Mathematics, but English Vocabulary. The more words a student knows, the more books she shall feel confident while reading. It is not fair to decide the “aptitude” of a student before enabling a student in Vocabulary. Dhruv Raj Sharma is an etymology educator. He has a unique qualification in Psycholinguistics, and in Ancient Classical Latin Vocabulary. He holds a Masters degree in Applied Psychology and Cognitive Science. On the other hand, his extensive experience in the counseling of adolescents and young adults. This does wonders for his handling of young learning minds, making him a powerful, yet very sensitive, facilitator. About me: I'm a blogger and poetess. I launched a YouTube channel called On Mental Health around three months back. My friend Shamenaz informed me that Dhruv is a fantastic speaker and I should have him on my show. 23 years back I was diagnosed with a chronic mental health issue. It meant I had to learn to live with it. It took me too long that healing needs to be holistic. Only medicines, or only yoga or only meditation don't help. You have to do all of this and therapy has an important role in the treatment. I have spoken about how mental health treatment needs a holistic approach. Do visit my YouTube channel on Mental Health to watch the video. Thanks to Dhruv I consulted a therapist and I m a happier person, less anxious, more comfortable with myself. I work with a vision to create a platform where people share their emotional and mental challenges without the fear of being judged. I'm extremely grateful to Dhruv and the entire team of Logophilia for making this webinar possible. Therapy is so vital for people facing mental health issues.
