In this Texas Pools video, we will show you How to Repair a Pool Filter Tank. The swimming pools filter tank is the heart of the system when it is down or not working correctly your pool will suffer the consequences. The issue today is that the filter plug is leaking after it has been replaced with a new one. Generally, this is the case if the filter is old, and the fiberglass threads wear out. This can also happen if the plug is over tightened, but in most cases, this will just damage the plug, unless the filter is really old. Another cause is if there is debris in either the treads of the plug or the filter itself. The debris will cause the threads to misalign and cross thread. So, the customer today elected to have just the bottom half of the filter replaced. Normally we suggest that the whole filter be replaced instead of mixing bad or old with good and new. :) If you live in the greater Houston Texas area and are in need of pool service or pool repair, give us a call. 281-367-4660 #TexasPools #HowToRepairPoolFilter 0:00 Intro Pool Filter Repair 0:08 Place System In Service Mode 0:40 Remove Filter Plug 1:13 Disconnect Filter Lines 2:00 Remove Filter Belly Band 2:22 Remove Filter Top 2:33 Take Apart Filter 3:10 Replace Filter Bottom Half 3:25 Reconnect Filter Lines 5:11 Reassemble Filter Top 5:38 Reassemble Belly Band 6:16 Re-start Filter Pump 7:08 Check System For Leaks 7:28 Place System Back In Auto Mode
