How to Drop Fall Mow HOC Height Of Cut in ONE Day!

Watch as I take my fall lawn down from growing out for a week to about 3" and then double-mowed down to 2.4" (Setting 3) with the OG Ego 20" Mower, with some Sweet Spots mowed at 1.8" (Setting 2). Two mows in the same directions really helped to clean up leaves and debris in the somewhat wet lawn. I then followed all this up with the 20" Yardworks Push Reel (Cylinder) Mower from Menards. I did the entire lawn, Sweet Spots and all at 1.5" to even everything out. The trick is to not take off to much at once. Had I dropped down from starting out around 3" and tried to go down to 1.8" with the Ego, I would've had a bunch of scalp marks and lost a ton of color. It's time-consuming, but if you do 2 passes on the same height setting, or even drop down one setting at a time 2 or 3 times, that should work out in your favor. I'm really a fan of cleaning up with the push real mower at the end. Keep in mind, all lawns are different and all lawns are leveled to different degrees. You might not scalp as much on your lawn as I do, or you might scalp worse.
