After many months of planning and recording, here we have our version of Amarillo. We worked with Waterford Council to design a video that shows how diverse and inclusive Waterford is. In this video we have people from Brazil, Romania, Hungary, Afghanistan, Spain and China. Then we asked our stalwarts Grace Howley, John Flynn, Moun Sion GAA, Peadar and Bill to come on board also. Synergy Dance Club transformed the video for us by putting together the most incredible dance moves to the song. Nicole was an absolute legend as were all the wonderful dancers, we know this is just the start of a very special relationship with the choir. Chris, Sean and Kingsley were the lead vocalists and you see them on their journey through Waterford trying to find Marie in Amarillo. La Mairie is actually the french expression for Town Hall so our brilliant script writer John Dunne shows the journey ending with our new mayor Joe Kelly and the throne represents Amarillo. We would like to thank all the people involved in this video. It may be short in length but it was a monumental undertaking in these times. Thanks to Billy Shanahan and Odudu Johnson for the music editing, thanks to David Bjelac for being our tech genius, thanks to John Dunne for an incredible script and thanks to Emma Smyth and Vickie Butler for their support of the project. Thanks to Chris, Sean and Kingsley for their great vocals and patience with recording the video. We hope you enjoy Amarillo xx #UpTheDeise #diversity #Waterford #mountsion #MSC
