The Alfa Romeo Alfasud Caimano is one of the most unique and futuristic concept cars of the 1970s. Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Italdesign, it was presented at the 1971 Turin Motor Show and immediately stunned the world with its radical design. Built on the chassis of the Alfa Romeo Alfasud, the Caimano featured a bubble glass canopy, pop-up headlights, a trapezoidal roll-bar spoiler, and a futuristic cylindrical dashboard unlike anything before. Powered by a 1.3L Boxer 4-cylinder engine producing 86 hp, the Caimano combined Alfa Romeo engineering with space-age design.
