Maj. Ngombwa (32 yrs) passed away on the 13th July 2020 after a fatal helicopter crash in Kithyoko, Kitui County. Robert (Bob) Mumu Ngombwa will greatly be missed by his family, friends, colleagues and the Tuvaani community of Kitui County. Tribute messages from; PARENTS, UNCLES AND AUNTS; We the families of Muindu and Kulumba appreciate God's love and mercy and are thankful to God for having had Maj. Mumu as our son. Wa kulumba was a God-fearing, loving, humble, obedient, focused and hardworking son. He interacted so freely with his siblings and the entire community, always finding something to learn from them. He had an amazing passion for what he wanted to achieve and due to that love for hard work, he excelled academically and in his career. He was also a source of motivation, assurance, and encouragement for not only his family but the community at large. Robert was also very supportive and kindhearted and will be cherished for his proactive and pragmatic contributions towards community development. His departure has come so early but God's time is always the best. SIBLINGS; God looked around his garden and found an empty place, and then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He then put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, in pain and somehow knew that you will never get well on earth again. He saw the roads were getting rough, hills were hard to climb, so He closed your weary eyes and whispered, “COME, HAVE PEACE SON!”. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone for part of us went with you the day He called you home. We truly loved you so much that no words can explain, BUT He loved you more. Rest in Peace eternally until we meet again Brother. John 14:1 – “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” COUSINS; We received the news of the passing of our beloved cousin with shock, some of us held our tears for a minute convinced that that was just but a very bad joke. Today, it dawns on us that this is our very last good bye and our hearts are filled with extreme pain, pain that will perhaps take an eternity to heal. We loved Mumu and Mumu loved all of us in equal measure. Mumu was convinced and so were we, that we would all grow old together and he would continue being our principal party planner because this guy loved to have a good time with us. But God loved him more, and there is no shame in God claiming some of his precious jewels and calling them to rest when he realizes the going is getting too tough for them. Mumu, even though you are gone, the joy, the laughter, the love and the family commitment that you shared with us shall forever remain as the emblem of the virtues that you stood for. And as we lay you to rest We are letting go,We are letting you rest, We are letting you thrive,We are letting God win. Rest easy Wa-kulumba,Until we meet again. FRIENDS; Your life was exemplified silent service and doing good to all. Despite deep , battled divides that exist in the world, people like you remind us that we can overcome those barriers. We took different paths in life, but no matter where we go we take a little of each other everywhere. The pain of parting is only overcome by the fact that we will meet again when the trumpet sounds. God giveth and Lord taketh. May you rest in His bosom. LENANA CLASS OF '06 (POEM); For a Maroon never falls,If he falls, he never hurts, If he hurts, he never faints,If he faints, he never dies, If he dies he never rots,If he rots, then he will smell like the WHITE ROSE. NIHIL PRAETER OPTIMUM. KDF PILOTS (MY WINGMAN); It’s hard to know that you are no more. The sad news of your demise made me weak from within. I have lost one of my closest genuine friends. I remember the good and bad times we had together Bro. You never lost hope in anything. With you there was no situation that lacked solution, you were always jovial and you never harbored any ill in you, it was difficult for anyone to pick a fight with you. There was this instance when you got your private pilot license and Cassie Nel - Head of Training at Starlite Aviation School informed us that he had shared your picture on Facebook, he said “Robert, I shared your PPL picture on Facebook but you have another name”! On hearing this you just smiled and I laughed because we had nicknamed you ‘Smoke’. You might have left us but your character and good virtues will remain in us who were close to you for the rest of our time in the world. Today we celebrate you because your journey here on earth has come to an end, a journey we are firmly confident that you were well prepared to finish; Rest well Aviator till we meet again!
