This role has high patient and physician interaction, field team collaboration, and rewarding days. I'll take you through a typical day in the life of the pacemaker clinical specialist where we perform the in-person pacemaker clinic. We use a special "programmer" to interrogate the patient's pacemaker. During this analysis, we make sure the pacemaker is functioning within normal limits and communicate the report to the physician. Then, we run to the "Cath Lab" in the hospital to support a physician who is implanting a dual lead pacemaker. We are responsible testing the leads during surgery and answering any questions the physician might have.
