The mission's Power Star appears once all eight Red Coins in the level have been collected. In Super Mario 64, the first one is located on the tree near the interior slide's entrance, in front of where the player starts. Another one is located at the bottom of the exterior slide, just before the Headless Snowman's head. One is located at the end of a broken bridge not far from the head, one is next to the warp to the top near the Mother Penguin, and one is at the edge of the level, not far from the previous coin. One is on a tree near the slide's exit, one is at the top of the rope swing, and one Coin is on a platform next to an Exclamation Mark Block and an ice block. The Star Marker is located on the opposite side of the broken bridge with a Red Coin. In Super Mario 64 DS, a few of the Red Coins' locations are changed. The mission also requires Yoshi to be completed, as the Red Coins at the top of the mountain and on the platform are encased in ice cubes. These blocks must be melted using Yoshi's fire breath, which he gains by eating any nearby campfires.
