Meet Hillbot Alpha, the first sim-to-real mobile manipulation robot. Designed at Hillbot’s San Diego headquarters, Hillbot Alpha is the first fully autonomous robot trained almost exclusively using simulation technology. Until recently, roboticists and robotics companies have relied solely on real world testing for robotic training data generation, a process that’s infamously costly and inefficient. By leveraging simulation to train foundation models, Hillbot can generate infinite training data to enables robotic skilling scalably and efficiently. If task scopes change, Hillbot can simulate new workflows and retrain foundation models, ensuring further adaptability to evolving business needs and solving many of the challenges of global robotics adoption.
