I was hesitant to go 4 wheeling at Tahuya ORV's off road park. But, I'm glad I did! You see, I acquired our Jeep JK primarily to take my family overlanding and to explore the PNW and beyond. I didn't intend to use it for 4-wheeling and rock crawling. So, when Nic invited me to go to Tahuya, Washington's ORV off road park, with his off road club, I didn't want to go. That was not for me. But, Nic brought up a great point. Going through the off road "obstacle course" will provide us the experience to get through most overland trails out there. "If we can get through Tahuya, we can pretty much attack most overland trails out there," Nic put it. And that made a lot of sense. He also mentioned that it's a good way test out our rig's capabilities and see if we wanted or needed to make any changes to our setup. So, we went for it as you can see documented in this video. The club that we went with was very helpful and made it comforting and fun rather than stressful and worried (well at least for me, Michael). They spotted us through the narrow areas and over the rock "challenge" as I refer to it. We all had fun and it was a great experience. In fact, we'll probably go there from time-to-time because it's like a fun, free amusement park! If you have a 4x4 vehicle and are debating on going to the Tahuya ORV off road park, or any 4 wheeling park for that matter, I say go for it! The experience is invaluable for both practical trail driving and the experience itself. As always, "Stay Grounded" my friends!
