He is on Tylenol for the pain His recovery at home is expected to take between 10 and 20 days. The parent appears anxious about the child's condition. TASK ➡️Ask the parent if he/she has questions or concerns about the boy's condition or discharge. ➡️Reassure the parent about Aiden's pain. Explain that an appendectomy is a standard procedure and his current level of pain is normal. Reassure the parent that a longer hospital stay is not necessary. ➡️Explain to the parent how to administer his medication and what he/she should do if the pain worsens. ➡️Answer the parent's questions about Aiden's planned activities after he returns home. Give sympathetic but professional advice on this issue.
