Jump into the mud, roar past wooded turns, and feel the adrenaline of riding the freshly modified 2025 RZR Trail S 1000 on the challenging Cat Hole Trail System near Claremont, NH. We started off at the Burger King trail. This ride isn’t just about the machine—it’s about the crew: Dave tearing up the trails in his Can-Am Maverick John carving lines in his RZR turbo And me in my newly modified RZR Trail S 1000, which doesn’t exactly start off smooth... Right out of the gate, things go sideways as my belt burns up on a rocky climb. From there, it’s a battle to keep the rig moving while navigating 55 miles of deep mud puddles, rocky roots, and tight technical sections maintained by the Sullivan County ATV Club (riderplanet-usa.com). Expect wide utility-style tracks up to 65 inches, but don’t be fooled—this area packs everything from easy powerline routes to hardcore terrain. Watch how each machine handles the mix: from Dave’s Maverick powering through, to John’s Razor finding traction, to me wrestling with the aftermath of a burnt belt. Take a peek at the staging areas too—either off Cat Hole Road or behind the local Claremont Burger King—and remember, trails usually reopen late May after mud season. Make sure to check out the 2nd half of this ride, "Riding Cat Hole Trails in Claremont, NH" where we run into some mudholes and make some new friends along the way.
