ASUS Hyper M.2 X16 PCIe 4.0 X4 Expansion Card Supports 4 NVMe M.2 - https://amzn.to/33z5FVc ASUS Hyper M.2 X16 PCIe 3.0 X4 Expansion Card - https://amzn.to/37qjUNpv Intel 665p 1 TB Solid State Drive - M.2 - https://amzn.to/33ABhtQ Samsung 970 EVO SSD 1TB - M.2 - https://amzn.to/37pKDJR Summary Review of the ASUS Hyper M.2 X16 PCIe 4.0 X4 GEN 4 Expansion Card; This card is very useful in todays world of high end computers. It has the ability to be used for a RAID drive setup or just as a controller card so your OS can see all the hard drives as regular storage devices. It's a PCIe x16 size card and for most people will have to be installed in the #1 PCIe slot, moving your GPU down to the second x16 PCIe slot. In this video we do an official unboxing of the ASUS card and talk about other accessories you want to pickup for a proper installation. Our overall goal with the video was to show you how to setup a 4TB RAID 0 drive on an AMX X570 Chipset motherboard using a Ryzen Gen 3, 3900X processor, but we could only do it once and kept crashing the computer multiple times trying to replicate our initial result. We will have a second video coming soon, showing the proper RAID steps after we finish troubleshooting with AMD. Unless you want to reinstall Windows a million times, I would not try this for an OS drive or even a RAID drive right now until can finish our troubleshooting with AMD. Our end result, for the time being, is using this ASUS Hyper M.2 Gen 4 Card as a controller card to "hold" four 1TB Intel 665p M.2 NVMe SSD, and use them as individual storage devices. Follow these steps to use the ASUS Hyper M.2 Gen 4 Card as a controller card to see four individual hard drives. #1 - Set VGA Card Detection to No or Disable in the BIOS settings to actually see your monitor upon reboot, because most motherboards are looking for the GPU in the PCIe_1 slot that you just installed your ASUS Hyper M.2 Gen 4 Card in. - Shut down and install card, move GPU to #2 slot. #2 - Restart into BIOS and set the PCIe_1 to 4x4x4x4 in Advanced Settings, DO NOT turn on RAID in BIOS. Save BIOS settings and boot into windows. Your drives should be visible in the Disk Manager where you can then partition them as needed. Setting the PCIe_1 slot to the 4x4x4x4 "allows" windows to see all 4 drives. Read more at https://www.nailedorfailedreviews.com...
