Ingredients & Preparation (పదార్థాలు & తయారీ) 1. Preparation (సిద్ధం చేయుట) Wash the green chilies and tomatoes. This is important to prevent spoilage. Cut the chilies and tomatoes. Slice or chop them into pieces. 2. Cooking (వేయించుట) Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a heavy-bottomed pan. Add "Populu" (Seasoning): Add mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds (and any other preferred tempering ingredients like cumin or split black gram). Fry until they splutter. Add Tomatoes, Chilies, Garlic, and Tamarind. Mix everything well, cover the pan, and cook on low heat until the chilies and tomatoes soften completely (about 5-7 minutes). Stir occasionally. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool completely. 3. Grinding (రుబ్బుట) Once cool, add the cooked mixture to the mixer jar in small batches. Pulse it to a coarse paste. Do not grind it too finely; it should have a coarse, traditional texture. Check the salt and adjust if necessary. 4. Serving (వడ్డించుట) Serve the Pachimirchi Pachadi with hot rice and a spoon of ghee (clarified butter), or with dosa/idli.
